About this site

Propane refill and exchange are priced differently — refill by the gallon for your own tank, exchange as a flat price for a swapped tank — and almost nobody publishes the numbers. No incumbent combines national coverage, refill-only listings, and per-station prices with verification dates. One competitor publishes prices across 137 city pages that appear templated; the best model we found, propanepricetracker.com, does dated verification properly but covers exactly one county — Shasta County, CA. This site applies that honesty model to every price it lists.

The three tiers

Verified price

$/gal + named source + verification date. Sorted first. Visually aged after 30 days; demoted to “last reported” after 90 days.

User-reported

Submitted by a visitor via Report a Price. Published labelled “reported by a visitor, unconfirmed” until a source check verifies it.

No price known

Refill service confirmed, no price sourced. Listed with “call for today's price.” A city page with zero verified prices says so plainly. Gaps are never filled with a “typical” number dressed as a station price.

How we make money

Advertising only. This site carries no affiliate links and takes no payment from any retailer for placement or prices. A station's price is listed because it was sourced, never because anyone paid.
